Behind The Scenes

Hi! Welcome to my very first blog post for my up and coming business, LBP Templates. I'd like to share with you a little bit about myself, the business, and everything in between (what's relevant, that is.) My name is Jessica. I am 23. I am married. I work full time. And... I started a home business. Ever since I entered the work force, I have come across several jobs that required me to do some sort of designing mostly for marketing. I didn't have much experience so I was forced to learn everything myself and do the best I can. Little did I know, I would become good at it and love it to the point where I could do it happily for the rest of my life. I figured, why not?

My husband and I plan to start a family with in the next few years and our goal is for me to be a stay at home mom. It is my biggest desire to have children and raise them comfortably and to do so, I want to be established as a successful entrepreneur. Now would be the perfect time to get everything going. Get all the nitty gritty things taken care of so that I don't have to worry about them in the future. Starting a business is hard work and it's going to take time for me to get into a routine. It's also going to take time building clientele. I must take every opportunity possible to focus on that (something that would be difficult while starting a family.)

So, you may ask, "What does LBP stand for?" LBP is short for Life's Blessings Photography; a business already established by my mentor and partner, my mother. She is a professional photographer. Her philosophy behind her business name is quite simple. Life is a blessing... capture it. She is also responsible for planting the idea of starting this business and motivating me to keep working hard. We have teamed up and created a sector of her photography business to design announcements for all sorts of events and marketing mainly for photographers. The idea is to design the basic structure that someone would need and make it easy for them to customize at anytime. So we make templates. You buy the template you like, we send you the file, and you customize to your liking. Simple! We do offer to customize for you as well, along with the option to have your pieces printed. My goal is to make it easy and affordable.
